Knights Of The Lunch Table: No. 1 (2008) - Plot & Excerpts
The book starts off with a boy named aurther king the main character is asleep and is dreaming about a giant dodgeball and its saying give me back my diary but it was just his sister morgan and auther had just moved. aurther had missed the bus and he met Mr.Merylan and he said to go the short cut way thats where he met percy (boy). later on he gets locker number (001xcl) witch no one can open so then he gets it opened and trhe bullies or the horde gets mad and the leader of the book wants artie to teach him to open the locker but percy challenges them to a dodge ball game.if the horde wins artie gives up his locker but if artie, gwen, percy, wayne have to beat the horde do they win or not.I loved the book beacause the drawlings are amazing and the book was so colorful and detailed.my favorite part was when aurther met percy and i really thought the book was really interesting because when i was reasing i never wanted to stop reading it. I recomend this book for 5th graders and older but other people can read it. i think that it is so interesting and i This book has many funny times. For example, Artie's sister Morgan made a sandwich for him to eat at school for lunch and put soap on it. Artie faces some ups and downs. An up is he made friends and a down is his principal is really mean. Artie, his mom, and Morgan moved in to a new house. Artie made new friends and enemies really fast. In Artie's new school there's one locker that no one can open. On the locker it has the code written on it. Still, no one can. That lock is also the locker his principal assigned him. Artie, Percy, Wayne, and Gwen face Joe and his gang (the Horde) to a dodge ball tournament. The Horde became Artie's new enemies on Artie's first day of school. Artie's principal also doesn't like him. In the dodge ball tournament the principal wants the Horde to win and not Artie and his team. That tournament was a very competitive tournament. I didn't like the book and I didn't not like the book. I LOVED the book! I especially like all of the characters. My favorite character is Gwen because she reminds me of my Aunt Gwen and she messed around with Artie, Percy, and Wayne to make them look bad. She also helped out Artie with the Horde. I would recommend this book to anyone because there's a lot of humor, comedy, pride, and bravery. So, if you are ever looking for a good book to read see if you library has this book. Also this book is fun and easy to read. 100/100 star rating is what I rate it.
