Found this challenge on the net when I was looking for some decluttering tips (and encouragement, I admit). I detox my room about 3-5 times a year, mostly when I move from hall to home, or when its december and time to 'spring clean'. I also detox when I feel like theres so much shit in my room and when I feel like crap and want some control. A lot of people bash this book and his rules... but hey. His ideas, his actions got you thinking no? I don't know why some people like to expect others to be godly saints when it's impossible. Especially when he didn't claim to be one. It's quite sad to see how much flak he got for 'cheating'. Putting down others is not the way to go guys... Well in other news I acted on this book and cleared out a lower side drawer full of stuff. Will gradually throw out/use/give away stuff until I achieve my 'minimalist', 'zen' moment. Practice for living light too. :) I read this on my plane ride to a vacation spot. It was written in a very conversational manner and a quick read. The ideas were a good reminder to focus on what is truly important in life...not get caught up in the excesses of 'American-style consumerism.' It was funny to read this, after having gone through much the same process a couple of years ago when we downsized from our family home to a 700 sf home. Less allows more!
What do You think about La Sfida Delle 100 Cose (2012)?
Interesting description of the author's personal journey to less is more.

Quick read, but not that good. Rambles and is annoying at times

This book has no focus and the writing is terrible.
