Good Christmas story, Sophie and Vil, meet at an inn. Sophie is there with one of her family's maids and the maid's infant son. When the maid disappears leaving Sophie holding the baby, Vil steps up to help her.Vil helps Sophie return to her family home with the baby. He is snow bound there with her and shows her how to nacre for the infant. She is surprise at how much he knows, and he tells her of his sisters and their children. Good story line, using an abandoned infant as the glue to bring our heroine and hero together. Well written and a few graphic interludes. I don't think the graphic "romantic" scenes were value added. The humour through story was definitely value added. Would NOT recommend for teenage granddaughter (though won't tell her anything she doesn't already know) nor for my mother for what that's worth. I would read more of the series.
Enjoyable read with likeable characters and a smooth writing style!
