Omg I loved this book in a total absofreakinglutely way. Seriously. Everybody kept telling me that the first one in the series was so much better than the second but NO! This one is epic. I have to admit I have a soft spor for romance at sea so it intrigued me since the very first page. And then I kept reading and reading and it never disappointed my expectations. Not the hero, nor the heroine. I almoust Can't wait for book 3 just to see again a glimpse of Grey and Sophia's life Tessa Dare is one of my very favorite authors, and with good reason. She's utterly brilliant at creating interesting characters, steamy love scenes, and interesting historical settings, often with humor as well as pathos. This is one of her earliest works, and is well worth the time. I was surprised by how much I liked it, considering I don't, generally, like lying scheming heroines (sorry Scarlett!), but this one finally realized she had the strength to stand up and be honest about who she is and what she wants, redeeming herself splendidly at the end.
What do You think about L'aventurière (2011)?
Last one was better but still a good read.
