Ugh. I thought I'd have stopped bawling over the series after Iron Kissed, but NO. Frelling Silver Borne happened and not all of my tears resulted from heartbreak. I detect it also had to do with Sam and Ari, and then the last two chapters with Bran and Mercy and what transpired afterwards.I think Briggs keeps getting better with this series, because I'm finding myself complaining less about too many plot points and getting more worked up over the shitstorm that occurs throughout the story. The werewolf challenge in Adam's house was intense, but I thought Mercy stole the whole show. Of course she would. And the description of Mercy's mate bond near the end? :sighs: Beautiful. I'm a sucker for werewolves and pack families, so I was excited that this book dealt mostly with some of the pack-related plot threads that had been developing throughout the series. I love all of the Adam/Mercy stuff as usual, but I'm starting to love the other pack members too (aside from Warren, who I already loved from book 1, and I would read the hell out of anything devoted to him). This isn't a perfect series, there are things here and there that I find problematic or poorly-written, but otherwise I'm really entertained.
What do You think about Le Grimoire D'argent (2010)?
It felt a little contrived, but it was entertaining, and satisfying on the Samuel front.

Easy read with great characters. A series I have enjoyed from the beginning.
