Okay so I open the book, begin to read and BAM! I know that this book will require a HUGE box of tissues! I literally ad to take a pause, to breathe and say okay this is going to be good! So after my pause, I couldn't stop reading. I mean this book just grabbed me from the beginning and kept pulling at my heart and my eyes just would not stop taking everything that was written in. Evan and Lucy have not lived their lives with the romance and companionship that they both thought they would have. Lucy,(pause for knot in throat) Lucy just couldn't forget the love of her life. No one could replace him so for years it was just her and her daughter.Evan, was so immersed with his career that he could be with someone that didn't understand the relationships and bonds that he had created with his team. So they both go on ....Alone.I often wonder will I be able to find someone after having loved the one I am with for so long? What will happen to me if I were suddenly single?(not that it would happen) This story gives me that romance level of the what if's. After sending what seems like a life time of being the best mother to Melanie, she finds herself in a house all alone and she is not happy with that. Until she meets Evan. After working himself to the point where he shouldn't work anymore he finds that he is lonely in his home, until he meets Lucy.Fate, yeah she is always working to make sure things happen the way they are meant to happen, and she does it with Lucy and Evan.I loved this beautiful, heartwarming, amazing, and yeah I am still choked up, story. The Series that Melissa Collins has given us is simply beauty in literature and in Love. A must read for every woman that is always asking... What If? This was the first book I've read that deals with an older couple and I was a little hesitant at first but I am so glad I read this book. Everything about this was just down right amazing. I loved these characters and their story. Evan is by far one of my favorite characters that I've ever read. This book goes to show that no matter what, you're never too old to find love. I just loved this so much because it doesn't deal with the typical drama that you see in most romance novels these days and that was such a refreshing thing for me. This is definitely one of my top reads this year!
