Let Me In - Plot & Excerpts

Kori’s shouted expletive reverberates throughout my living room as we are all focused on the tv.  Kori, Chase, and I are intent on the football game, and Avery and Chelsea are gossiping about Channing Tatum or some other useless shit.  “That ref is an idiot!  That was not holding.  Bunch of jackasses.”  Her grumbles trail off as she notices all of us staring at her and laughing.  I pull her to me as I kiss her on the cheek.  She’s so damn sexy when she’s watching football.               “Babe, you’re going to give yourself a stroke if you don’t calm down.  Do you have money riding on this game or something?”               She pushes off of my chest as she swats at me.  “No, Tucky.  I just want the Steelers to win.”               I was beyond excited when I realized that my dream girl shares my love of my favorite football team.  Chase and I have always been big fans, and he pouted for weeks when he realized that Kori was a football fan.  He accused me of stealing her when he had called dibs at the bar the first time we saw her.  I told her that she could have chosen him if she had wanted him, but sadly for him, she is much too smart to succumb to his idiotic ways.  However, he and Avery seem to have a bit of a love/hate relationship going on.  I can tell that something has happened there, but he won’t admit to anything, which is not typical Chase behavior.  I wish they would both get over themselves and get together; they’re so much alike that they would be perfect for each other.                I haven’t concerned myself too much with Avery and Chase’s drama since my life with Kori has been so damn perfect.  I will never forget the day a few weeks ago when she told me she loved me for the first time.  Everything that has happened since then has been perfect.  I’m aware that I use the word perfect way too much these days, but nothing else describes the perfect way that I feel with Kori.  My life is perfect with Kori in my life and in my bed.  I must be turning into a pussy.                “What are your plans for Thanksgiving?”
