I'm definitely in the minority on this, but I didn't really like this book that much. The book had a powerful message, but for some reason it didn't affect me like it did other readers. I didn't really like any of the characters, so switching points of view constantly did nothing for me. As a matter of fact, I found some of them, like the principal and Skylar's father, to be pretty pointless. Skylar herself just annoyed me, and since she was the "star" of the book and had the most chapters, it made me not like this very much. All in all, I see what the author was trying to do, but for me it just didn't work. This was an ok novel.I probably wont ever read this again it was a short easy predictable read.I felt that Bock wanted to include too much and that too many character point of views were introduced which made it difficult for me to care about any of the characters.Lisa Marie was a very annoying character.JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY I DON’T CARE ABOUT JIMMY. I already know he killed a man.Sean wants to talk about it, but Skylar is a freaking zombie and Lisa Marie just keeps saying, “everyone knows. No one’s talking.” I felt very detached from both the characters and plot. All in all it was an ok read.
What do You think about Lieg Voor Mij (2012)?
So sad:( What a beautifully written story. All the characters read like real flesh and bone.

Gripping and disturbing. Bock can really write.
