This is a very cute story, with lovely retro illustrations about a baby owl who falls out of his nest and is found by a friendly squirrel, who tries to help him find his mother. This story is very similar to Julia Donaldson's Monkey Puzzle, but has lovely retro illustrations compared with Donaldson's colorful cartoony illustrations.Good to read at storytime and was widely enjoyed by one of my Year 3 class visits to the point they demanded an encore at the end of the year. This is big, big, big. (Stretch hands far to side) This is small, small, small. (Cup hands together over lap) This is short, short, short. (Hold palms horizontally, close) This is tall, tall, tall. (Hold palms horizontally, far apart) This is fast, fast, fast. (roll hands quickly) This is slow, slow, slow. (roll hands slowly) This is yes, yes, yes. (nod) This is no, no, no! (shake head) Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the bedWe can jump, jump, jumpwe can hop, hop, hopWe can clap, clap, clapWe can stop, stop, stopWe can nod our head yesWe can shake our heads noWe can bed our knees a tiny bitAnd sit down slow
