"Little Pink Pup" is the story of a little piglet who is the runt of its litter. He had too many brothers and sisters. He was the smallest pig in the litter and wasn't strong enough to push his way through his siblings to take his meals. The owner of the pigs also had a Dachshund mom that had just had puppies and had plenty of room for this hungry little fellow. The Dachshund mom took the little pig and raised it with her puppies. The pictures and text are just wonderful. It's a simple but sweet story of taking care of those less fortunate and how bonds are created between different species. This little book will be a Christmas gift and birthday gifts for grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Highly recommended for all little ones! The true story of Pink, the smallest of a litter of 12 piglets. The other baby pigs pushed him aside, so the author's family brought little Pink into the house, where their dachshund Tink had a litter of puppies. Photos in the book document the little pink piglet eating, sleeping and playing with his brown-coated adoptive family. The book's dedication is "to all the children who think that they are different from the rest of their families. Just remember, your family loves you just the way you are."
Very cute true story about a runt named Pink finding a family among a litter of dachshund puppies.
