Love on a Dime was good enough to read twice (which isn't something I do often). Now, I'll admit I forgot that I had read it previously until I was part of the way through but it was good enough that I continued reading. When I started the book I expected, based on the summary, it to be a high society story about a rich girl. It actually isn't. Yes, the main characters are wealthy and yes there are some society rules that cause problems for the main character, Lilly, but it's not what the story is about. It was nice to reach a high society story without the wealth flaunted to the extreme. It helped that I read this in the winter and it takes place at a beach cottage in Newport and there are many scenes outside. So, this book was well written and the characters were engaging and the story kept the pages turning, but that's about all. Nothing overly spectacular or memorable. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in it, but I don't think I'd read it again. I found Lilly a little bit frustrating at times, but I suppose when you got involved with a character, it's the sign that the author did a first rate job. My first book by Cara James, and I think I'd definitely give her other books a try!
