I think this is one of the best books by Colleen Coble that I have read so far. It is Christian and it does have lots of romance, but it is also filled with suspense, which I love the combination. It was so easy to feel like I was a part of the story living right there in it. I loved the characters and all the secrets that they kept. I loved how everything came together in the end with all the twists and turns. I would recommend this book to all who love Colleen and her writing, plus anyone else who loves to read. The whole time I was reading this book, I kept thinking, "I've read this storyline somewhere before." Oh yeah, it was in the other two books in this series. A little too much similarity in the three books in this series. Three marriages of convenience, all three women have one daughter (in this case, two, but she doesn't know that at first) and some mysterious man is calling these women and trying to "get" them. All the books are the same, only with minor changes. The thing is, though, I STILL couldn't put them down. That's saying something. If a book isn't good or interesting, I can walk away from it and never look back. All three books in this series, while similar in plot, were easy to read, intriguing, and hard to put down. I would still recommend them, although I wish they had more variance between them.
What do You think about Lonestar Secrets (2008)?
First book by this author and I would read more. Not intense but a good interesting read.
