Enjoyable read. Lots of palatable tension and one of the hottest prequels to a kiss I have read in a long time. Hard working ranch owner and "so far in the closet he would need a search and rescue to find him" - Ray, falls had for Travis Morgan, horse trainer extraordinaire. In fear for his business and people who work with him he is reluctant to be honest with his feelings until a serious accident focuses the mind and the heart! Fab side characters, Jesse dealing with serious issues and the matriarch - Dot, astute, wise and lethal with a shotgun! It finished on a happy-for-now....I don't like this type of ending....and what makes it worse??? No epilogue!!! Seriously, there should be a warning on the front cover....Overall a fab slow burn romance. [3.5 stars] Ray is the owner of the Ford Ranch. Travis is a horse whisperer. After an initial hesitancy, Ray hires Travis. They're attracted to each other but can't act on it 'cause of the reigning homophoby. They try to resist each other. They fail. What's not to like in this book? There are sexy cowboys, more sexy cowboys, a little angst, a little drama and some good smexin' going on. Props to that!
What do You think about Long Tall Drink (2011)?
So. Bloody. Predictable. Jumped to the end after 20 pages and yup, just as I expected. Ugh
