I just didn't love it. First of all Howard and Gordy are horrible names! I do think the first book in the series was much much better. This installment seemed to lack some of the excitement and conflict that was present in book one. Although H &G were likeable people their relationship was NOT the stuff of droolworthy legend! Their relationship came off very real-world and not uber romantic...or actually uber anything. Overall it wasn't horrible it took me quite awhile to finish which Is extremely uncommon for me. I'm typically a cover to cover in one setting type of reader. This book took a few sessions to get through. Although I will admit that I did tear up towards the end with their first Christmas together as a family. PictureLove Comes in Darkness by Author Andrew Grey, this story was hard for me to put down. I loved the emotional connection that Gordy and Howard have from the get-go. Howard is blind but he strives to be independent. When his boyfriend leaves him stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere I liked how Howard didn’t panic, and was smart enough to call for help. He also got lucky because a handsome man named Gordy, was more than willing to help and stopped to see if he was okay. Gordy is a kind person with a big heart and he helps Howard without making him feel like he’s a charity case. He even scares off Howard’s boyfriend who comes back to check on Howard. I like that Gordy tries to be a friend when he meets Howard and really doesn’t make it all about how cute Howard is (yes he does notice Howard is exactly his type) but he doesn’t make that the sole focus. I enjoyed how the story progresses at a good rate and nothing seems forced or contrived. The build up to having sex seems very natural, and I felt the heat but I also felt the love and friendship both men have for each other. When you want a book that is sure to go on your keeper shelf this is the one to pick up, hot man love, and a beautiful unforgettable story. Five shooting stars!! and a recommended read
