Un romanzo carino e leggero, lettura non impegnativa. Onestamente, ne ho letti di migliori su questo genere. Non mi è dispiaciuto, ma non mi ha di certo entusiasmato.La storia, che inizialmente pensavo avesse come protagonista Hannah Robinson, non ha invece un fulcro vero e proprio, ma racconta le vicende di molti personaggi, tutte più o meno intrecciate tra loro. A mio avviso, solo una grande confusione. Nessuna delle storie dei diversi personaggi viene approfondita più di tanto, ma vengono tutte raccontate in modo abbastanza superficiale e tutto sommato, sono anche piuttosto scontate.Tra i vari protagonisti, nessuno mi ha colpito particolarmente. Alcuni sono molto carini, alcuni pessimi, altri snervanti, ma nessuno di loro ha veramente carattere. Escluso tutto ciò e lo stile elementare in cui è scritto beh, ci rimane solo il romanticismo e il pensiero delle buonissime cupcake di Hannah.Mi aspettavo di più! My son chose this book for me at the library because it had cupcakes on the front. I don't read much chick lit and I have to admit this rather disappointing. I got half way through and I was still waiting for something to happen. I asked myself would I care if someone dropped a bomb and they died a fiery death? No, not really. I hate leaving things unfinished though so I ploughed through to the end, just in case it picked up. It didn't.I found the style of writing easy to read but quite difficult to follow. It's nice to see the point of view of more than one character but it's a little excessive when it's her, her mother, her mother's friend, her ex, his lover, her old friend, the carpenter, the taxi driver, oh yeah and her male friend and probably a few other's I've forgotten about. I did get rather upset at the death of the young boy. It didn't seem to fit in any with with the story and it seemed so unnecessary. It wasn't moving it was just horrible.If you're looking for a book that meanders along and nothing really happens then it's a decent enough read, but it didn't really do anything for me.
