Love Storm (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

This was short and sweet and what I had expected. Plot wise, it's fairly an old concept but it was still kind of romantic. I usually shy away from novellas since they're too short for any character and plot depth but I wanted something short and simple and this was it. Only problem with this is that it's super predictable...to the point where it was pretty boring. All in all, ok read but definitely not substantial. I was rather generous in rating this book as "okay" because it really wasn't, but I save the one star rating for stories that are torture to slog through, and this one wasn't. It was a quick and not unpleasant read and blessedly short. I could not figure out the target audience for this book. The writing and characterizations were so very juvenile that I thought it was meant to be a kids' book and then the author throws in a boring sex manual that had to be skimmed over, which seemed so out of place in a kid's book. Maybe the target audience is anyone who doesn't know who the Michelin Man is (sorry, you have to read the book to get that remark). This book may also be okay for readers who think romance novels should consist of cardboard stock characters superimposed on a generic formulaic stock story.

3-1/2 - 4 Stars. Cute & quick little read. Nothing earth shaking, but a nice fun bit of fluff.
