Oh my goodness, this book was such an incredible pleasure to read. It truly makes you believe in the kindness and generosity of others especially during a period in time when these attributes have perished in humanity. The characters in this book were infectious and a pleasure to learn about. The setting is Hawaii which is truly a beautiful place. The ending was a complete surprise but one that made me shed tears of happiness. Leilani mother has just died and she is planning to take her ashes back to Oahu. But she finds a letter from her mother's sister asking her to please visit as soon as possible. But Leilani didn't even know about her aunt. So she quickly makes her plans and arrives in Oahu. She visits the aunt she never knew about, but her health is grave and the aunt had expected to see her long lost sister. But the aunt dies the very day she arrives to visit. But she has left a surprise for her. Can Leilani be up for the challenge?
