This is a story about Annie Hynes and her life, which she starts to find rather boring. After she encounters her guardian angel things change and she makes some life alerting choices. She gets a new management position and changes her look but in the process starts to neglect her friends. Especially her best friend Tyler Jones, a handsome and funny social worker that she's secretly in love with. With Tyler missing her and her neglect of all her friends, she might have put one in danger. The encounter of Annie and her guardian angel Celi was a bit unrealistic. Her easy acceptance of the unknown makes it a bit unbelievable. Celi on the other hand plays a very small role in the book which makes no sense to the title. I expected more moments where her angel might help or be present. There was a few moments where the story dragged a bit or progressed to slow. Even with that being said Annie can be relatable, she's a character with real life issues such as career, self esteem and loneliness. Tyler is a likable character that helps with the teens and has protective nature. The characters are well developed and relatable with realistic issues and lives. You also get additional life stories of characters Lea and Hugo. Which does add more of a sentimental value to the story were you feel for the characters and what they are going through. It was an okay book, cute but not as captivating as I expected. Annie wants to change her life and with the help of her guardian angel she just might have that opportunity. Annie was over the top whiny. She just complained the whole time about wanting to change her life but never actually doing anything about it and pining over some guy that thought they were in the friends zone. I didn't connect with Annie at all and found her to be quite annoying. Note: I received this book free from amazon, all opinions have been honest.
