L'étrange Secret De Finley Jayne (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP. This book was short and fun to read, but fairly predictable. I figured out what was going to happen pretty early on, and I'm usually pretty gullible. I believe what the author wants me to believe. The characters were a little underdeveloped. The only one we really get to know is Finley. I wish the author had developed Phoebe a little more. I think the author wanted me to care more about her than I did. The author tried a little with the forbidden love between Phoebe and Robert, but I wanted a little more to go on. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to think she was spoiled or heartless or nice or what because it wasn't properly developed. I think part of this is because it is a short story, and I'm not used to reading short stories. I might check out The Girl in the Steel Corset and read more about Finley Jayne before I write her off. I don't think I would have rated this book as high if it hadn't been free on my kindle though...
