Best friends to lovers. A pair of team ropers struggle to overcome being outed by a photographer at a rodeo. They are given a business proposition by a man assembling a group of gay cowboys in each event - team ropers, bronc riders, bull riders, et cetera. The decision to take the offer also means leaving their disapproving families and a hateful small town full of homophobes. This is a sweet read with two cowboy characters that take your heart. Warming little story. I'm sorry to say this story didn't do it for me. At all. I started skipping pages which is, a first sign of DNF. But it was a short so I finished it.I didn't feel any chemistry between the two MCs. The conflict about not coming out was unbelievable, what's the matter, they've been outed officially by a newspaper and everybody in their town knows. So, I was always eh?? I found the dialogue lacking, especially between the MCs.I'm sorry, it's a free story and I'm always feeling bad when I really don't like one because well, the author does not need to write anything for free...
