Magical Journey: An Apprenticeship In Contentment (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Katrina Kenison is a gifted writer and I was drawn in by her description and sensitivity. I related well to many of her feelings, as I am also an empty nester and have experienced much change in my life. Even though I missed my children and the busy mothering life, thankfully I still had many opportunities to serve and share after my children left home, so I didn't feel the need to find a new life. I wanted to remember many of the writer's words, so I wrote them down, and I very much enjoyed reading this well written book. This is a beautifully written book that will speak to people quietly but with great impact. It will resonate with women in the same circumstances, age group, and situations as the author. Katrina Kenison is a gifted writer, I could feel her emotions and reactions as if they were my own. I am not at the same place in my life but I think it will be of benefit when the time changes fro me. I will recommend it for the Women's book club I belong to, however, because i think she brings up so mmany things that will evoke discussion and debate.*I received my copy from NetGalley.com in exchange for an honest review.
