Two college football rivals become professional football rivals and the intensity of that rival seems only to increase right along with the level of play. But what if there's something underneath the tension that means something more?I thoroughly enjoyed this. The dynamic between Brad and Cam is wonderful and the transitions in their relationship are portrayed masterfully. I'm left looking to pick up more by Nico Jaye in the future and immerse myself in the worlds she creates. This is a sweet little romance between two star quarterbacks from rival teams. They start off as adversaries, but through a chance event one evening, they become close friends and then their friendship leads to something more.I don't usually read short stories as I prefer more depth of characters and the story, but this was relatively well done for only around 40 pages. When the guys got together it was a bit rushed from one minute friends to the next lovers, without much warning or building tension, and it was a pretty sappy ending. But unless it was a longer book, I can't see how it could have been done much better. There is a sequel available to download for free too, which picks up three years later and is told from Cam's POV rather than Brad's like the first story. However, I think I almost prefer to leave it here.Short and sweet!
What do You think about Man-to-Man Coverage (2012)?
Nice short read, would have liked it to be longer though and to have more character development.
