This one is definitely in my top 5 out of all of the Loves Landscapes books I've read so far (I think I've read around half of them). I am a huge fan of of books that involve sports of any kind and when it involves two men involved in the same sport that you can tell have a connection. I love the build-up to when one of them finally makes their move. I think I laughed a bit too hard with the 'save a horse, ride a cowboy' thing though.. wow.. that was funny. I mean, cause you know the costumes.. :D A kickboxer with a tongue piercing and a secret crush on a sweet geek... The premise for this story is so far up my street it won't ever find its way back out!Kickboxing team captain Derek is the perfect blend of cockiness and caring, and Oliver is a fun Scrabble nerd. What could be more perfect? Add in some funny secondary characters and a novel first time and you've got a recipe for heaven!I would love to hear more about these two, but failing that I'd love to see what other great characters Nico Jaye has created. And that's one of the best things about the Don't Read in the Closet event: Finding great new writers you'd never heard of before :)
Starts out slow, but when it picks up, look out! Next stop wet and wild.
