Marco's Erlösung (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

I have no idea why this book got so many low reviews because I sure as hell liked it and I was amused at Marcos antics the whole time. Marco is a big mushy and soft teddy bear that hides behind his cold blooded bastard persona and I don't think that Natalie did justice to him at all. As much as I loved Marco I almost resented Natalie that much because she couldn't make up her darn mind and she was completely spineless not to mention stupid,oh well I guess you can't get them all right. Marco, to me felt hilariously misunderstood because everything he said sounded rough and Natalie took everything out of context, meanwhile what he was actually trying to say was sorry and that he is all the time worried about her. Obviously if this was real life then I would have to say that he is kind of a stalker and might be certifiable but come on it's just a book and a fun read. I loved how Marco handled everything with honestly what every she asked him he answered point blank and if she didn't like it….oh well too bad cuz it was too late he did what he felt was the right thing to do. He reminds me of a big cry baby and the whole "sick" scene just proved it. Solid 4 stars and if only Natalie was a better character it might have made it onto my prized 5 star shelf. What do You think about Marco's Erlösung (2013)?

Christine said, "Sometimes you run across a book that was the right book at the right time. This is that book for me".I have to agree. Fresh from reading "Demon's Captive - Stepanie Snow", I think I was in the right space for some more OVER THE TOP alpha don't-take-no-shit.And this book hit just the right spot. So if you in that space.... grab this book ;)Because, I don't think you get much more alpha than Marco. And when he finally succumbs to love... loved it, loved it, loved it."Do you love me?"He let out a puff of air and ran his hand through his hair again with fingers that shook. "Jesus Christ, Natalie. Heart, body and soul. More than life itself."So, like I did, you'll ignore the fact that Natalie does sometimes seem like she doesn't really have a backbone, and you'll even ignore the fact that the ending seems a bit rushed. Because the satisfaction truly comes when you realise... yep, it's so good when they fall ;)

This is actually my first read of Lynda Chance, and I was definitely satisfied! :)I haven't read these type of books in a while so it was good I reopened it with this author. It was thoroughly enjoyed while there were some very possessive parts that made me giggle at how ridiculous it was but then there were parts that were so sweet and touching. We have a complete possessive caveman Marco which falls for regular girl Natalie - surprisingly she does have a bit of a backbone. I will read this again at another point in time. Thanks for the great read! :)
