Okay, didn't like that the heroine was still hung up on the parents deaths. It wasn't bad, but that level of focus was almost bordering on desperate. It made the strife between them see dragged out and boring. I think that her hang up on that single moment and her insistence on being left alone to be too dramatic and a lot childish for a woman in her early twenties. I understand it scaring her but I also think that it made her seem too fragile. Love most of Lynda's books but this one was flat for me. Hope the next one is better. Courtney and Nick definitely fight their feelings for each other. Nick tries to bury his strong feelings towards Courtney in order for her to grow up and get her degree. When Courtney decides to go to Florida to get her degree, Nick is absolutely furious. After convincing Nick that she really wants to go, Courtney then gets her Master's Degree on top of it. When Courtney finally returns home, Nick decides it is time for them to stop fighting their feelings. After Nick thinks his dreams have come true, Courtney fights their staying together because of a strong fear she has from being left orphaned by her parents and having to move into the Rule household. Nick has to find the strength to fight even harder for them. Overall a good read and it flowed easily. The epilogue was good but was too general and didn't give me enough to go on.

Both Hero and Heroine consumed by angst! Conflict in the story was forced and unrealistic.
