Mark Of The Mage (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

This book was awesome. It's not too often that a fantasy novel comes around that's not the same as everything else. This is a little slow to start, but once it gets going, it is a really good read. The only thing I didn't like about the writing was that the main character kept saying that she "fisted" her hands instead of like balling her hands or clenching her hands. Idk, that kept sticking out to me.I didn't enjoy the cliffhanger ending, though. This start to Ryals' Scribes of Medeisia series is another Indie Gem find. I loved the world Ryals created and the main character and secondary characters were well developed. The plot was really fascinating and mythological, which is my thing. I would recommend this entire series to all fantasy/mythology/adventure/talking dragon lovers. FYI there is a little love scene in the first book. It isn't graphic, you just know what happened.
