This looks like it will be the first instalment in a series based around the town of Hope, population 3000. I really enjoy reading the M/M genre and this was a great quick read.Jared lives on his farm, growing produce for his growing list of clients. This is something he knows and loves doing. When his ex-wife calls him to tell him that her step brother Lucas is coming to stay for a couple of weeks, that it will be a favour to her father, he reluctantly agrees to it.Jared has always been attracted to Lucas but the version that steps off the bus is a whiny, spoilt and full of self entitlement Lucas. This is going to be tougher than he first thought. He is still really good looking though so I guess there is that.Lucas is fuming about being sent to a farm and the small town of Hope. Jared soon puts him to work sorting out his home office, which will free him up more to work his farm. There is a mutual growing attraction between these two and when they finally admit what they both are feeling things get really hot between them. I love that this was a slow building realisation between them, nothing felt rushed. Jared is not a one night stand kind of guy and when he is with someone, it's because he wants to know them and give himself fully. This is a new experience for Lucas who has never been a relationship kind of guy but he wants to with Jared. I can see I missed the "58 pages" before I bought it. The story is good but I felt it was rushed. I kept hoping for a slower approach and it never came. Everything from Lucas getting used to life to the "I love you" where coming like bullets. If I had know it was only 58 pages I might not have had the same opinion. But I just found out and that is the only negative thing I have to say about it.
