Mi Libro De Historias Bíblicas (1978) - Plot & Excerpts
It was a very enjoyable reading, the old and new testament core tales being narrated in a easy to understand language. I read this book over and over when I was a kid.Only when I grew up I realized some chapters are biased and there is a lot more the stories here and many happenings during and between many of this that are taken out in order to make the message clear. It did a good job. I probably know most of Bible tales (specially old testament) because of it.I had the long print version. The other version I've seen around is a pocket version, both have the same text and illustration, the colouring of the images varies between them, but that is all. I loved this book when I was a child and spent hours upon hours pouring over it. The illustrations were so captivating that I can vividly recall many of them to this day: Samson shaking the pillars, Jezebel's grotesque grimace as she falls to her doom, Abednego's stony face of defiance, the bright red sash against the walls of Jericho.I've heard talk that some of the images were plagiarized. But to let that or my ambivalence towards the Watchtower Society in general, interfere with this review would be disrespectful to my 7 year old self. And that 7 year old loved the book, Watchtower Society and all.

One of the first books I've ever read. Very nice stories of religious Catholic figures.
