*SPOILERS ALERT*The 2.5 book in Death Dwellers MC series Misdeeds begins with K-P funeral, club grief over it and plans of revenge. Through this drama happening in club. And though I understand that Kendall don't have the brightess life from the start and the last weeks was a nightmare. Lost sister, been keep prisoner, drugged and violated by Spoon. Who is from Torpedoes MC club. And it's hard on her. But seriously...All that mopping, whining and other stuff starting to get on your nerves after few weeks. Kendall should get herself in hands and get backbone she had. Other thing what not OK with me was that though you could understand where that come from but all Torpedoes made her go through, she pushing their sins on Death Dwellers guys. And after few weeks she is already in their club she should already see that though they rough and hardcore bikers but they are not cruel to innocents. Other dramas resource - Megan. No one know what happened to the hard nut but sweet girl. Acting like a four year old girls fighting over favorite Ken doll. Every time they see each other they are at each others throats. Showing who has bigger and sharper claws. It really make me wanna say: "Girls show some maturity. Please. We are not at kindergarten. And you both have your own Ken dolls.".Johnnie at first acting no much better. Hiding behind feelings for Megan. Afraid to acknowledge that he had any feelings for Kendall. And first always going into Meggie's defense. Which don't go so well with Kendall. And even when he starts to be on Kendall side, his bipolar behavior, one minute hes warm, soft, approachable and the other - cold, remote, too don't go well with Kendall. Which already have insecurity in their relationship. On other side, Kendall's trying to keep Johnnie leashed, that he would be by her side all the time, don't helping either. This leashing thing would made any person suffocate. After she is in club a few weeks, she gets a call from Spoon. Who scares and threatens her. Asking that she do something for him. Her process of thinking made me wonder not a first time, is she really 30 year old woman. Where her logic in her thinking and actions. For Gods sake! She is a lawyer. So she really have brains she could put to use. And then her decision not to say about call puts her into bad situation. Johnnie gonna have to go on rescue mission. After a few days later on barbecue, all finds out why Megan acted out of character. And Kendall sees that she misjudged Megan. And she didn't have so easy life as Kendall thought. After this day they try to make up and be friendly. I wanted to scream "Finally!".Johnnie arranges a date for Kendall on his special place. Where he finally understands what all, even Megan, were talking about his feelings toward Meggie and Kendall. So he just blurts out "Marry me". Which she refuse believing he offering only because of baby biker. And don't believe when he says "I love you".While club plans revenge, Kendall come up with her own plan, how revenge her sister and other girls used in trafficking of people. Which backfires and puts her and Megan in danger. And they both loses their baby's. So no wonder this lead to Christopher confronting Kendall how she should pull her act together. In consequence Johnnie leaves the club. Thinking he own it to Kendall. At first she happy about it. But after few weeks, he becomes though polite but distant to her. And she sees that hes not happy, and are missing his brothers. So those few weeks she starts understand what she refused to see before. About Megan. About Herself. About club. About Johnnie. And that the club is part of his soul. So Kendall make a first step to fix things. Between her and Megan, Johnnie and brothers, him and herself. So despite that through book I was annoyed a lot of times of cat fights, I loved every moment (yeah even those annoying ones ;) ) I spend reading it. And can't wait for more.PS Holly Molly God!!! That I don't see coming. That was a surprise. Mortician and Bailey. And Elvis. LOL. This part made me thing of Carrie Underwood's song Last Name.PSS Mortician should get his act together too. And stop living in the past. Also take advice for himself he had given all the time to Kendal. Book 2.5 (but a full length story) about John/Johnnie and Kendall and this one continues learning about the grandfather and his secrets - Logan - and dealing finally with Kendall's ex and rival MC guy - Spoon. Something I really do like about this series is an overall story arc from book to book.Same spiel from my Book 2 review:Johnnie has been my absolute favorite of this series. My opinion started waning on him based on 2 things: 1. his almost obsession for Megan. I agree with Kendall on one thing - if he called Megan Megs one more time I was going to jump through the book and slap him. 2. The other reason he started dimming in my eyes was Kendall. Holy crap, I've never read a character I disliked more and it surprised me. Maybe Nan from the Abby Glines series (#nanhater), but Nan is kinda growing and you're very slightly becoming sympathetic to her. Kendall started off ok, but now (and especially by the end of book 3) is completely unbearable and only getting worse. At first I understood his support and the chemistry Johnnie has for Kendall, but by the end of book 3 I'm at a loss. "Megs" is another one who grated on my nerves and I was surprised after liking the first book. She's super immature and about as petty as Kendall (almost). I became very tired of her and the pedestal everyone put her on. Also, I really enjoyed the first book and how modest Megan was, but these books show a less mature and less modest young woman. In the first book she didn't want to spend Christopher's money, but now she seems to have no problem with that. All of this gives me mixed feelings about book 2 and book 2.5 - both are centered around Kendall and Johnnie and a lot of jealousy and pettiness from the girls. Also, we get into some really tough subjects. BUT, it doesn't seem to be keeping me from reading the series and all 5 books in 2 days. I truly want to see how these characters grow. And fortunately I hung in there and did enjoy book 3 (minus the little bit of Kendall and Megan) much more than these.
What do You think about Misdeeds (2014)?
