This story could have been so much better was severely lacking. It's like we got 3/4 of a book instead of a whole. We are introduced throughout the book to Aston's exes but are never given the details on why they broke up. She comes off as ditzy, immature, and materialistic even though this is the exact opposite the author is trying to make the readers believe. The way she talks with her BFF Shelby is so elementary that I cringe on the excessive "whore" and "slut". She's still somewhat likeable though.Sloan, the boss's son, is the bad boy whore but in all honesty, he doesn't come off that bad or that whoreish. He has a dilemma when it comes to relationships and I thought his reasoning was completely weak. Other than that, he is completely likeable. The sex scenes were good but could have been better, but were probably the best thing about the book. The details in the book, mostly concerning their pasts, was underdeveloped. The story went at a good rate with both characters' pov. Towards the end, the story seemed to go at warp speed to the point that the last chapter completely confused me bc at the end of the previous chapter there is one setting and then when the last chapter starts it's a complete different setting with no information letting us transition. Also, the whole car buying thing was so ridiculous. Really?!?! And riding on a motorcycle in a pencil skirt...give me a break. Just no. Such a bad book. I found nothing redeeming about the book. It felt like the author read a sampling to the most popular romance novels while writing this book and added every element to it. I hated the lead female, I always think to myself 'would I be friends with this person?' and the answer is a resounding no. so under developed, feels like a first draft. The way the author built background was half hearted and whole chunks of the backstory are missing. I total waste of time. And I don't get the 4/5 star rating either. Story line and development alone make this book crap, add in bad dialogue, constant label dropping, and the multiple personalities of the characters and you have got yourself a POS book. Glad it was free.
What do You think about Misguided Heart (2013)?
There was every cliche possible in this book. I just wanted the book to end.

Probably the two most self absorbed characters ever!
