reminiscent of Madeleine in the style of art and prose but personally I like this better. The drawings are all tinged with pink and have hat drawings. The rhymes are just gorgeous. and I love the use of big words and French dance terms. What I love most is that it is a book about accepting change. They used to dance in for lines of two until more girl joined and their numbers are put off balance. Things didn't go smoothly until they learned to dance in three lines of three. A perfectly delightful book that will get lots of attention in the princess cubby. Little girls will love the pictures, the rhyme, and all the dancing! Great book about ballerinas.I like the added bonus of the numbers and math concepts presented. That was surprisingly well done. There is also a nice little glossary of the dance terms and pronunciations in the back. Not a book of the day, but certainly one I will be recommending to get the right book into the hands of the right child for it!
What do You think about Miss Lina's Ballerinas (2010)?
