Notes to self (ran out of space in notes space): what the hell is up with Margaret? seems very superior and holier than thou; why is she still helping the clinic?Claudine: match-seller; showdown with husbandSqueaky: becoming more ethical and attached to clinic peopleSutton: Love him and the dogMary Webber: interesting side mysteryDurban: why did he hid his past? because he was afraid of being thought less respectable? What happened to that guy that didn't like Monk? Did they get rid of him?Rathbone: pride goeth before the fall. Manipulated by Ballinger. Why does he shut Margaret out? Neither of them behave as supposed. don't have a good feeling about the marriage. This is my first Anne Perry book. I didn't start with the first Monk book, but moved right on the #16. I did read a bit of background information on Monk on the internet, but not having read the first 15 books the Monk series didn't seem to impact my review. I liked it. I like the characters and I liked how they had a lot of history together. The story was interesting and kept my interest. I would say that it left me pretty satisfied.
Good book in the Monk series. I am curious about the new direction the series seems headed.
