Oh gosh.. Where do I start? This book deserves five stars, to be honest. Or at least a four. Why did I rate this a three?? There were just probably two things that irritated me, but overall I have many good things to say about My Single Friend. Having known each other for, basically, their whole lives, Henry and Lucy share a special bond that goes way back. They've always protected each other, and were always there for one another- that made their bond so strong that you'd think they were related. That's why Lucy has never thought of Henry as more than just a brother. I was a little worried at first- the summary made me think that she only became attracted to Henry because of his looks. That he only became a possibility to her after his makeover. Turns out that's not the case though, however. Let's just say his makeover made her hidden affections for him more apparent. I wouldn't blame the girl for falling for Henry, he is such an amazing person. He's literally the full package- with brains, loyalty, masculinity, and lovelity. I know , lovelity isn't a word huh? I can't think of one right now that would describe how love able he is! The bond he shares with Lucy is so strong and beautiful that I'm sadly jealous. Relationships like that can be very rare to find, so if you have it, cherish it. Usually you lose contact with your childhood friends, but it can be the opposite for all those lucky people (: It's one in the morning right now, so I'm trying to wrap this up quickly. Hopefully you get the gist of my feelings so far. Of course, I'm dying to talk about Lucy's best friends. Dominique and Erin. It's great that they're friends with Henry too, and that they know about the relationship he has with Lucy. They're both such great friends to her, I feel bad for going against them at one point. You'll have to read the book! My emotions were played with randomly at times >< Dominique and Erin are both so supportive and loving, Lucy is lucky to have them at her side. I enjoyed Dominique's bantering and Erin's soothing nature, it was all wonderful! Sure, Lucy, and even her bestfriends, go through many ups and downs, but the end result is amazing. Everyone ends up with a happy ending, even Lucy's mom and dad! There are so many good things to say that I almost forgot about the bad stuff! The two main problems I had with this book was that 1) Lucy and Henry didnt start officially dating till the very end and that 2) Lucy was overall oblivious to her feelings and Henry's for the majority of the book. Needless to say, My Single Friend is an amazing read. Along with witty characters, fun bantering, laughs, some heart breaks, and good results, My Single Friend also comes with some good life morals. Wow, I sounded a bit cheesy there x) Costello puts a lot of emphasis on staying true to who you are and appreciating yourself. She accomplished this in such a creative way that I'm speechless (: I would never have pulled off what she did- making such a fun book while integrating some fulfilling messages. Hilarious, sweet, and a bit heart aching, My Single Friend is a must read!! You won't regret it! C: Ceritanya tentang teman yang menjadi kekasih. Lucy sudah bersahabat dengan Henry selama 20 tahun, dan hidup dalam satu apartemen yang sama selama 4 tahun. Karena penampilan yang tidak modis, Lucy gagal melihat Henry sebagai laki-laki yang sebenarnya sangat cocok dengannya. Setelah 'Operation Henry' barulah Lucy merasakan 'sesuatu' (kata Syahrini) pada Henry. Tapi apa lacur Henry yang keren disambar oleh Erin temannya sendiri.
