Fast paced thriller, interesting characters and a dash of romance.''Nick’s life as a CIA spy should be fulfilling, but it has only given him unhappiness — a wife who committed suicide and two daughters who resent everything he has become. Now, stuck in the Amazon on the last mission of his career, he must track down Matheus Ferreira, a drug lord and terrorist the U.S. has tried to bring down for years. If he succeeds, he’ll have the chance to start his life over again.Just when he’s on the brink of catching Ferreira, he’s framed for a murder that turns his world upside down. His only chance of survival lies in West Virginia where Lilian Love, a woman from his past, owns the secluded Monarch Inn. He’s safe, but not for long …''The plot kept me interested to the end. If you go into this book expecting it to be your typical thriller, then you'll be HAPPILY disappointed. It is a thriller, but has enough a unique plot line to keep you engaged in the story. The characters are well developed, and the reader is drawn into the book and at some points you can actually feel the sense of danger and urgency the characters are feeling. I am an avid thriller fan. I've read good books, okay books, bad books, and great books. I would consider this book a great read and would recommend it to anyone in search of a truly different thriller. I truly enjoyed this book.Buckle up, it's an emotional, dangerous, romantic, action packed thriller. Enjoy the ride.
