Naomi finds that she's been kidnapped. All because of something they think she might have seen. She tries to think of a way to escape, all the while getting to know her kidnappers. Even if they treat her better than her own parents ever did. Or so she thinks anyway. Hadn't heard of this one before. The writing was really good and kept me reading. Also like that we got to know what the parents were thinking, especially the mom, Karen. The book references were interesting. Makes you wonder what Naomi will do and if she will escape in the end. Really good read Holy crap. This book is insane. Gripping, dark, addicting, emotional, and beautiful. The 3rd person POV is literary and smooth. I gobbled this up over the past few days on my Kindle whenever I fed my baby or laid in bed with insomnia. A lot like STOLEN (Lucy Christopher), and yet still totally different. (And minus all the f-bombs. Baha.) I just downloaded the sequel (PIECES) because I seriously need to know what happens to Naomi and Jesse. I just love twisted stories that aren't black and white and that mess with my emotions. Those are signs of great writing. Note: Includes sexuality, violence, mentions of abuse, and other mature themes.
