Mordre Vous Va Si Bien (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

So yh, i couldn't finish this drivel. It was so boring. I'm not a fan of the main couple so it makes it difficult to really get into the book.I'm loving jonah and think she should suck it to ethan. The timeline again in pure shit. I will not be reading anymore because it's the same crap. Humans and all that crap. Apex predators my ass. You have human politicians making fools of you and your own GP or whatever are just like politicians today. Old and stuck in their ways. Jeff was the only bright spot. I skipped ahead and hooted at the ending. Thought it was right. sampled the others to follow and saw it's the same nonsense. Humans and Merit with the golden cookie to ave the day. I'm real good. And I thought the last book was emotional? This one made me want to find Chloe Neill and pop her between the lookers. Damn you lady, I don't like to cry. Or almost cry :)Merit is once again proving her strength and growth in the short amount of time she has been turned and made Sentinel. Because of (again!) House politics and an unexpected visit from the GP, Merit is tasked with investigating a series of violent raves with possible drug involvement mostly on her own. Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and the fact that she is working alongside some members of the Red Guard, she is forced to omit most of the truth from both Ethan and other pertinent members of Cadogan House. Oh Merit...what a tangled web we weave...Surprisingly, Merit retained a little bit of Ethan during her investigation. For the most part, she followed protocol and remained almost true to the House Rules, obeying the laws of politics. That right there shows that our Merit is growing up (although she still is a baby-vamp). Ethan and Merit are still at an impasse concerning their relationship, which is just turning into a he said/she said. Merit's stubborn streak is wedging itself between her and Ethan; while they ended on a mostly positive note from the third book, they are starting over at what seems like square one in this one. Ethan also revealed a much sweeter nature and I love the fact that he said Merit reminds him of what it means to be human. There's still copious amounts of heartbreak to be found, and not just in the sweet, desperate words that are exchanged. The ending! Oh, the ending. I'm feeling much like Cadogan House at this point. In a major state of disarray. Really interested to see how this turn of events plays out in the future. I'm not asking for kittens and butterflies, Neill, but you better make something good from all this hubbub :)
