Yes as other reviewers say it has almost no plot and there is a surplus of endearments. But it was an oddly calming read. Perhaps just a reaction to a rather hectic holiday season but I enjoyed it. That being said, Jane Austin is rolling over. There is a great deal of sex in this book not of the erotic but way too much. Elizabeth turns into seasoned courtesan almost overnight which is a bit unbelievable. Darcy is a virgin who performs as a virtuoso the first time out due to reading books on the subject. Otherwise it just chronicles life in the early days of their marriage. A book that makes it to my "abandoned" category could also be placed in a category that I don't have, but now realize I need: "all time worst books." This book is so pathetic that I couldn't even get through chapter 2. It's base and insulting. I wish I had read the foreword before buying (at least it was cheap!) where the author says the Keira Knightly P&P MOVIE inspired her to write this book. Seriously, though, this book is offensive in so many ways. It's not even worth the time to write this review, but I felt I should warn my friends.
Completely dreadful. Like a Danielle Steel novel, but even more poorly done.
