Mrityunjay (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

This is a superb narrative of Mahabharat from Karna's perspective...That's what it is...Karna's perspective where he is the protagonist and you don't get to know what Pandava's are thinking and what other characters are going through in their lives. So I feel that this is a very well written book with beautiful poetry like language and a must read. But It should not be taken as a reference to choose who did right or wrong in Mahabharat. Hats off to Shri Shivaji Sawant for writing this. My mom read the book ages back and recommended it to me. I started reading the Hindi version. It was beautifully written. But unfortunately, not being exceptionally good at reading difficult Hindi .. Couldn't maintain the flow. Finally reading the English translation. Not the best translation work but the book is engrossing. Perhaps would try and read the Hindi version again. Probably the best to read would be the original Marathi one
