Read at a time where my own family was facing turmoil, this book was very moving to read. I appreciate the God factor in this story, and how Kent relied so much on Him, forgiving before he even knew who the killer was. I appreciate his example. I would have liked to have seen a bit more into the thought process of the son. Overall, a very good true-crime story. My heart goes out to Kent Whitaker as he rebuilds his life. If I had read this book when I lived in Kansas I would have found it interesting and been intrigued like I always am by true crime. But having read it after living in Katy Texas for the past five years I think I really found it even more interesting because I've been to most of the places mentioned in the book and for me being able to picture the surroundings always adds more to the reading experience.
Excellent story of God's Grace and a father's forgiveness and love for his son.
