Poirot wird via Brief in ein Herrenhaus eingeladen. Als er eintrifft wird er auch schon mit einem vermeindlichen Selbstmord in Kontakt kommt. Aber Poirot wäre nicht Poirot wenn er diesen Fall nicht auflösen, und allen Spuren nachgehen würde...Hmm, da es hier 4 Kurzgeschichten sind finde ich es verdammt schwer, auch noch eine Inhaltsangabe zu machen. Aber wer AC kennt, weiß, dass bei ihr nicht immer alles so ist wie es auf den 1. Blick scheint...Die Story bekommt von mir 4/5 Lesezeichen. Auf 23 Seiten kann ja nicht all zu viel passieren. Der Todesfall ist das Ende des einen Kapitels, die Lösung beginnt sofort im 1. Satz des nächsten Kapitels... Okay eine Kurzgeschichte aber absolut nicht Christie-Like...Bekommt von mir leider nur 2/5 Lesezeichen. Murder in the Mews (Hercule Poirot schläft nie) [April]48 Seiten.Inhalt und Meinung:Eine junge Witwe wird tot in ihrer Wohnung aufgefunden. Alles deutet auf Selbstmord hin. Hercule Poirot ist da aber anderer Meinung. Die tote Witwe hält den Revolver in der falschen Hand, die Türe ist von außen abgeschlossen... Wer also kommt als Mörder in Frage? Die Mitbewohnerin kam erst am selben Morgen zurück, hat nichts gesehen und nichts gehört. Also wer war es?Ein typischer Agatha Christie Roman, auch wenn es nur eine Kurzgeschichte ist. Sie lässt keine Wünsche an eine Agatha Christie offen. :)Für diese Kurzgeschichte gibt es 5/5 Lesezeichen.
Como dice la sinopsis, el libro se compone de cuatro historias cortas, o relatos en los que el señor Poirot aparece. El primer relato recibe el mismo nombre que el título de esta obra: Asesinato en Bardsley Mews. Es un relato bastante interesante. En el que el señor Poirot junto con su compañero, aclaran un crimen. Una mujer joven se encuentra hallada muerta en su habitación, puede que no sea un crimen, o sí. Para mí, este es el relato que más me ha gustado, sinceramente. Me ha parecido muy curioso, y es el que más enganchada me tuvo.El segundo relato está titulado Un robo increíble. Como dice el título, el relato trat sobre un robo producido a un alto cargo del gobierno. Este es uno de los relatos que menos me ha gustado. No me enganchó mucho, pero sí que me mantuvo entretenida. El tercer relato es El espejo del muerto. Es el relato más extenso de toda la obra. Trata sobre un hombre que aparece muerto en su despacho y Poirot, muy casualmente estará allí presente para ayudar a esclarecer el asunto. Este es un relato muy intrigante, que te engancha bastante.Y el cuarto y último relato se llama Triángulo en rodas. Trata sobre un triángulo amoroso cuyos actos llevan a un crimen. Es uno de los relatos más cortitos del libro. Bastante curioso.No sé como, pero Agatha Christie tiene esa forma de escribir y narrar que hace que te mantengas intrigada de principio a fin, proporcionándote poco a poco datos e información en tu mente, soprendiendote siempre en el final.En conclusión: Asesinato en Bardsley Mews es un libro muy misterioso e intrigante, compuesto de cuatro curiosos relatos, que si te gusta la intriga y el misterio, éste es tu libro.Reseña completa aquí: http://laestanteriadeirene.blogspot.c...

What can I say? Agatha Christie's one of my favorite mystery authors, if not authors in general, and Hercule Poirot's one of my favorite characters of all time! He may be boisterous and annoying, but he's worth it! And he DOES care for his friends which is a plus for me!Dead Man's Mirror focuses on this eccentric man considered to be one of the last baronets. He has been through a lot of adventures over the years and have accumulated a lot of wealth. He suddenly sends a letter to Poirot asking for his help although Poirot must come only at moment he requested. And when the Belgian detective did, he finds out he came too late - the man he was supposed to help was dead. Of course, he tries who did it.The other three stories are Murder in Mews, Triangle at Rhodes, and and The Incredible Theft. The Incredible Theft is my favorite in this book. Everything was good, but The Incredible Theft made me really ponder. Murder in Mews is my second, just a teeny bit behind The Incredible Theft.

This is a Inspector Poirot novel made up of four novellas in one and they were Murder in the Mews, The Incredible Theft, Dead Man's Mirror, and Triangle at Rhodes. It was a really fast read because the stories were a lot shorter than a full sized book but because of this, I found that it lacked a lot of development compared to Christie's usual mysteries. The stories went by too fast and seemed to be cut short. They all made sense and all loose ends were tied up nicely but it was just too short, especially the last story - it was only 40 pages!My favourite of the novellas was the first one where a woman committed suicide but was disguised as a murder. Usually it is the other way around but that's what made this mystery so interesting! It's hard to follow Poirot's logic sometimes because he seems to jump to conclusions - but he always has his reasons and every detail always makes sense in the end.

This book is OK, but not breath-taking.Ini karangan Agatha Cristie yang pertama kali saya baca.Saya kurang suka aja sama misteri dan cara pemecahannya, kurang brilian dan keren. Apa karena ini karya lama dan bentuknya pendek-pendek makanya kurang WAOW dibandingin sama cerita suspense yang sebuku cuma bahas satu topik kayak karangan Jeffery Deaver atau Jeffrey Archer. Tapi meskipun gitu gak bisa dibikin alasan, menurutku Sir Arthur Conan Doyle dan Sherlock Holmes-nya yang juga pendek-pendek masih lebih epic daripada Hercule Poirot-nya Agatha Cristie *sorry.Selain itu bukannya hipokrit, siapa sih yang gak suka tokoh detektif yang selain cerdas juga rupawan? :3Hercule Poirot digambarkan sebagai orang yang cerdas(jelas), Belgia, kumisan, tapi sayangnya dia pendek dan tampangnya meragukan+ngeselin. Jadi nggak sreg aja. Tapi dia pinter sih, masih ada yang diunggulkan lah.Buku ini ceritanya ada 4; Pembunuhan di Lorong, Pencurian yang Aneh, Cermin Mayat sama Segitiga di Rhodes.2 dari 4 ceritanya ribet tapi ujungnya tentang suicidal, yang satu tentang orang yang ngelakuin pencurian lapor detektif-tapi dia sendiri yang nyolong, yang satu lagi soooo meh :/Memang sih kita gak bisa escalated quickly dan ngejudge pengarang hanya karena baca satu bukunya. Tapi nurut saya kesan pertama itu penting, ya inilah kesan pertama dari saya.Cocok baget dibaca waktu sibuk-sibuknya tapi pengen refreshing karena ceritaya pendek plus simple namun tetap menarik dan membuat nyaman.*Akhirnya sebagai apresiasi saya pelihara kaktus dan diberi nama Poirot.
