My Imaginary Jesus: The Spiritual Adventures Of One Man Searching For The Real God (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

I listened to this audio book and was really surprised. I was not sure what to expect with a title like that, but it is a thought provoking book. Two thirds in he got a little bogged down in the plot, but it did not take long before you realize why he has been hanging out with "Imaginary Jesus" and come to a resolution. This book is a fictionalized tale with the author as the main character. It details what life is like when you decide who Jesus "should be" not who he really is, when you try to make him fit your mold. I guarantee you will laugh, be floored at times, and that you definitely will examine your own life to see if you have been following "Imaginary Jesus" or the real Jesus. If you like audio books, this is a good listen. I was able to listen to the entire story in one weekend while I cleaned house and sewed. I recommend checking this one out. I got this book for 20php (almost half a dollar) and this book is hilarious and fun to read. It will make you see the different types of "Jesus" people have. This book will make you realize that people often define Jesus by their own personal preference. I think this book is all about that. The story revolves around Mike and his search for the real Jesus--who He really is. This is a great book. Funny with a serious lesson.
