My four-year-old daughter and I read this together. She loves zombies, and we both enjoyed the mad science behind Nathan Abercrombie's undead predicament. The supporting characters were humorous and fun, as well. Lubar captures the goofy and mischievous nature of children in a way that celebrates their efforts and actions rather than demeaning them. The littlest quirks and comments made the biggest impressions, creating lasting characters. We will definitely be reading the sequel! My Rotten Life Nathan Abercrombie Accidental Zombie is the story of ten year old Nathan who just can't catch a break. First he doesn't get invited to Shawna Lanchester's party, by the way she just happens to be the prettist girl in school. Then he gets picked on in gym class. Oh and then there is that thing that happens where he gets doused with an experimental serum that turns him into a half zombie. Does it better for Nathan, well you must read to find out. Great for 2nd thorugh 4th grade.
