I hang up with her nurse and hurry to my dresser to grab some clothes. “Is she okay?” Elijah grabs my shoes from the closet for me. “I don’t know, they won’t tell me anything over the phone.” Elijah turns away as I pull my sleeping T-shirt over my head and dress quickly.
