so this gets 3 .5 stars because I didn't pick the baddie... I listened to this on my commute to and from work and it filled the time nicely... I skipped over some of the description of the sex scenes, simply because they seemed to take forever to get through.. I like the narrator and have heard her before which might have helped me pick this audio book.. though I am not sure if I will continue with the series... This book was actually really good, almost 5 stars good. My biggest complaint is that there were too many loose ends left at the end of the book. I do realize that sometimes in real life not all questions are answered when it comes to dealing with a psychopath however, this was a fiction novel. I expected that I all my questions (at least the really important ones such as who is the killer?) would be answered. Not so much the case here. I do plan on reading the rest of the trilogy but after having already finished the second book I have found that they are in no way related so I may never find out the answers I need to be satisfied with the ending of Midnight Caller.
I won Midnight Caller from First Reads. I look forward to reading it now that its arrived.

A good start to the series... almost four stars -- but just not quite there for me.
