“That was the best sleep I think I have ever had,” she said looking at Nash. “Did you stay with me? This whole time?” She couldn’t help but admit to herself that she hoped that he would stay. She felt safer when he was around, more protected. “You weren’t out that long.” She sat up slowly, noticing that the needle had already been pulled out of her hand. And the lights were dim in the medical bay. “Oh.” Nash seemed to notice that she wasn’t pleased with his response. “But I would’ve waited for hours, if that’s what it had taken you to wake up.” “Oh,” she said again this time in a softer tone. “So what did they find?” Nash twisted his head back and forth as if he were checking for microphone or something. “Maybe we should discuss this back in my quarters.” He offered her his hand and she gladly took it hopping down off of the table.
