Dillon & Alexa' story was a sexy read, with lots of heart. I loved Alexa's strength. She was a woman determined to save her friend's shop and no sacrifice was too much. I did question why she seemed so wary of relationships and love. Perhaps this was explained in another book. Dillon James...oh my! An environmentally conscious business man that likes to work with his hands. He's everything you want in a hero. I found myself loving the gifts and notes he shared with Alexa! This is a great romance. Just enough angst to keep the reader guessing. An ending that leaves the reader smiling & wishing they could spend just a little more time with all of the characters! What a really good story. We met Alexa in Book 1 - No Dress Required. She's Jake's sister and Nellie's BFF. We also get to see more of Nellie and some of Jake in this book.Alexa designed flower arrangements for an upscale flower shop in her small town. When the owner dies and leaves the shop to Alexa, along with all the debt, Alexa is determined to save the shop and make it a success. She sells her beautiful home and moves into a small apartment in the building over the flower shop. The first day she moves in, her sink breaks and she goes in search of a handyman. She finds Dillon who she assumes is the building's repairman and gets him to come fix her sink. WOW! The instant chemistry between them both is intense. Dillon knows he should just walk away, but something about Alexa draws him in and he decides to not correct her on her assumptions about who he is. He is actually part owner of the building along with his brother, and by choice is making some repairs to a number of the properties they own. He's also part owner of Alexa's main competitor in town. He has a lot of money and likes the idea of Alexa liking him for himself and not his bank account. After a very HOT encounter between the two on the roof, Dillon decides he's going to help Alexa save her business and will tell her the truth of who he is later. The two quickly fall for each other. Even though Alexa is still having financial problems, Dillon continues to help and come up with suggestions to help save her shop.But of course you know where there is deception, there is also the truth and it eventually comes out. Dillion will have to earn Alexa's trust again, as well as her forgiveness. But more importantly, Dillion wants her love, because he's fallen in love with her.Dillion is a wonderful character. The man is hot! He's built, has tattoos, has money, does charity work, owns a Harley, he even leaves Alexa flowers when he makes repairs in her apartment. He's just so sweet. I liked Alexa's character too. She's a little harder to get close to at first because she doesn't want to accept help, but all that changes with Dillon. This story is told in both of their POVs and it has an ending that's really cute.
