I like Ethan Day. Seriously, I really, really like Ethan Day. Now that's not to say that I love every single thing he's written, but he always provides a solid read. This was one of his better works since it has officially made it onto my "re-read for pleasure" shelf. He has a special brand of snark that totally rocks my world. I can't think of another author who writes quite like he does, which is why I am such a huge fan. Now, while this book rocks, it is no Sno Ho or Life in Fusion!!! Cause those were pure perfection, which made them all time favorites from the first read. =) This book is different from the other Ethan Day´s I´ve read before that were lighter and funny, this one has its funny parts too but also deals with serious issues like growing up with an alcoholic mother and the scars that leaves in a person, Deacon is so damaged that I was surprised he was still upright, he meets Steven who has his own issues about being closeted most of his life, they find each other and you can´t help but root for them to make it. Very engaging story, beautiful and realistic characters and I appreciate that the women in this book are likable and amazing, except Patty of course.Very entertaining read.
