I had trouble getting into this book for two reasons: 1. there weren't enough happy/angsty/romantic moments between the characters and 2. The main character is a clown. Okay, yes I can hear you now... then why did you pick it up? Well, yes that is a good question actually... I've been reading lds chick lit lately and this kept popping up on my recommended list so I finally bought it. I didn't realize there was the clown thing.. I just had a hard time picturing it as romantic. that being said I will read more from this author as long as the next book is clown free ;) This was a fun read, but I found the main character really annoying - both because of her pranks (when everything becomes a prank, it is no longer surprising or funny) and her list-making. I am a list-maker myself, and I really couldn't relate to how judgmental and unbending she was with her list! But I did like how the author had her learn what was really important, and how she was able to admit she was wrong and make it right in the end.
Lighthearted, quick, lds clean romantic comedy.
