Cute story about cute characters. Breezy is very likable and so are all her friends. Noah is a cute guy and learns about small towns and about himself as he navigates his new job as station manager. I guess my only complain was the lack luster of the kissing scenes. "I'm going to kiss you now", and then he did. Just doesn't cut it with me. I need to feel it. Other than that this was a lovely read. This novella started out so well. Breezy Jones is a charmingly adorable character, totally in her dream job as on-air meteorologist for her hometown TV station, following in her father's footsteps. Although perky and fairly young, she is well-educated and passionate about the weather, providing accurate and studied information. Unfortunately, the station is taken over by new management and changes are scheduled to be made. Despite Noah Drake's good intentions as the new general manager, Breezy is pushed aside for a sexier weather person, which does not make her happy. I really liked Breezy's fun-loving and optimist character. Unfortunately, Noah and Andrew (Breezy's former love interest) are not as well-developed so it's hard to feel the angst of that potential love triangle. There are also a number of girlfriends who make up the Chick Flick Clique, but there are so many of them that it's hard to keep track. I assume we'll get to know them in future books, but at this brief beginning, it's again difficult to feel close to any of them. Breezy's mom and dad are fun, and I liked their stability and gentle humor. I hope they continue to be strong background characters. I would have rated this a 4-star read all the way up until the abrupt ending. Because of the lackluster finish, I felt the book was flat. This was especially disapointing after such a fun and promising setup. I found it a quick and easy read, though, so I will continue with the series.One thing I really liked was the rain-related quote at the beginning of each chapter. Most were well-known and set us up for the content of the upcoming chapter.
