OH MY HEART....I picked up this free read right after finishing Keep Swimming without looking at any reviews. I was a sobbing, blubbering mess!! Kade Boehme...what did you do to me?? This short book had incredible depth to it. An entire lifetime was shared in just a few pages but the character development and insight into a life that is given to the reader was amazing. This story of endless love ripped my heart to shreds but then held me tight and put it back together again. I did read reviews after and yes, I saw the editing problems and typos, but I'm a teacher. I grade and proofread essays all the time. I have to grade them in 5 categories - conventions is only one. So maybe in the area it needs some work, but do not let that detract from the narrative itself. It was a deeply emotional read that moved me and I loved it! I don't want to spoil it but I can't guarantee I won't say something that will spoil it for some people, read with caution:For such a short story, this packs quite a punch. It puts you through several different emotions and leaves you in tears. I'm actually upset and had I known how this would turn out, I probably wouldn't have given it a chance but at the same time this was a beautiful story and deserves the five stars.
What do You think about On The Dock (2012)?
I don't want to crash the party. So let's just say, this one wasn't for me.

Short, sweet and devastatingly sad. What more can I say?
